Dancing My Way Through the Crowd

I am an active danseuse apart from the job I engage into daily and my passion has outgrown my school, university, and has helped me to add value in the Indian contemporary dance realm. I had taken up short term courses from Shamiak Davar in the past and have been performing merrily till some point of time I believed that life will be stuck in troupes and holding live performances in Indian Bollywood and small screen. Looking beyond the boundary I was approached by a elderly gentlemen who seemed to share the same passion and the discussion led me to searching for HE degree. We met through www.stunited.org in a discussion forum and his guidance has enabled me to aspire higher in my career.

I found the preliminary search of colleges in the above social media website while it also referred me to Conservatories UK Admissions Service (CUKAS) that is solely dealing with music, arts, dance and drama in UK. As per guidelines mentioned in www.stunited.org, I found that I can submit my electronic application in around six conservatories.

The 2016 UK university music applications are done online has the last date on 1st October 2015 and the online guides have helped me immensely to breeze through the entire process. Some of the queries I had in mind especially for the performing arts as auditions are involved was cleared through CUKAS FAQs. The process involves filing the CUKAS application filing. I found the fee as £16, while CUKAS audition fees in a detail that helped me to take a decision to how many I will finally apply to maximise the chances of admission.  As a candidate from international student category I was aware of the fees for undergraduate performing arts course. As a mandatory requirement, I have to make an application through UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).

I am thankful to www.stunited.org and the dance enthusiast who approached my seeing my stunited.org profile which will probably change my career from here. Hoping to sail through the admission process in any of the performing arts colleges in 2016 I am keeping my fingers crossed.
